Having issues with cruise control and the downshifter

I recently swapped to a smaller front sprocket on my 22 DesertX to smoothen the ride especially on gravel and around town. but now I am having issues with the downshifter and cruise control, both just stopped working! 

I am not sure what to check. any insights will be helpful

start by checking the fuses tht related to cruise control. then inspect the vacuum lines and associated components for leaks or damage. also it can be bcs if the speed sensor, somake sure it's functioning correctly

Did you check if any wiring near the front sprocket got pinched or disconnected?

Check the fuses. Those are all you need to check first just to diagnose. If you don't see any problem there, might as well bring it to the mechanic.
