any recommendations for aftermarket exhausts for the desertx

I've always used Akrapovic on my bikes, but I see there are a lot of other choices now. I'm really curious about what everyone else is using on their DesertX and how it's working for you. Any tips or thoughts would be graet

Depends on what you want...loudness, performance, or durability. What's your top priority for your DesertX?

I've never been a fan of Akrapovich anything because it's always louder. Sure, I'm find with that, but sometimes it's too much. I recently talked toa guy that has HP Corse SP‑1 Evo Short and the best part is that he didn't even needed to get a tune, it worked flawlessly. He did meantion that doing a cat delete would likley require a tune, but he wasn't going for that.

Arrow and Termignoni are great alternatives to Akrapovic, with Arrow generally delivering a more aggressive sound. SC Project also offers some solid options for the DesertX. The key factor to consider is whether you're looking for a full system or just a slip-on, and whether you'll need to retune after install
